The 18th of July of 2014 came into force the "Agreement of Transboundary Reservoirs", signed between Mexico and the United States. This is an agreement for joint exploration and exploitation of transboundary hydrocarbon deposits in the Gulf of Mexico.

The agreement stipulates that both countries should exchange all relevant and available information on the activities of exploration and exploitation, or on the possible existence of oilfields within the three-mile contiguous to the boundary line, including that obtained by private firms.

Experts in the field of SEMARNAT and SENER, moderated by Mr. Nicolás Borda, will present the most important points in this topic: insurance, maritime and environmental aspects, as well as questions arising from the reform on the oil sector to be approved in the upcoming weeks
