What is the deal?
Now that the TPP-11 has been signed, there are many who would like to understand what this really means for the future of trade between participating countries. Some would argue that the original trade pact, TPP “12”, including the USA, had a certain balance to counteract the growing power of China. However, now the dynamic is quite different and it would be of interest for many as to how the new relationships can create a positive sum game; where are the synergies for participants?

The diversity of size, geographic spread of cultures and economic development of each country are such that it is not easy to reconcile how and where such a pact can develop a cohesive program of mutually beneficial trade. Importantly, some would like to understand how the treaty could help to expand their business.

Now we have the opportunity to learn more from experts. The Australian and New Zealand Ambassadors, plus experts from the Mexican Economic Ministry will be analysing these points in a round table discussion.

It will be a great chance to ask penetrating questions on the value of the new agreement and perhaps learn how and where opportunities can arise.
