ANZMEX Board 2017 - 18

We are very pleased to welcome you our new Consejo Directivo for 2017-18. ANZMEX President, Adrienne Bonwick outlines the changes to our board for 2017-18.

Since its incorporation in 2010, ANZMEX Business Council has developed into a dynamic and valued organisation – in no small part due to the collaboration and contribution of our members in our board.  The “board” as a group defines the strategies of ANZMEX, how we create value for our members and actually drives the activities of ANZMEX.

Consejo Directivo (Executive Board) 2017

As you may recall from our last Assembly, we have confirmed our new Consejo Directivo.  Subsequent to the Assembly, Raul Sanchez of Fisher & Paykel confirmed that he would like to join the board.

It is the first time we’ve had a really strong board with our leading corporations represented and I am proposing a model to them to ensure they become more actively involved in the leadership of ANZMEX so that we benefit from their perspectives, that ANZMEX is offering the services our Australian and New Zealand companies really value and that ANZMEX is not dependent on the contribution of any one person.

The Consejo Directivo is elected by the membership at our annual assembly.  ANZMEX’s bylaws defines our Consejo Directivo as the following positions and grants them relevant authority and responsibility for the administration of ANZMEX ORG, A.C. (our legal name):

Adrienne Bonwick - President

Donald Smallwood - Vice President - Membership

Tim Callahan - BHP - Treasurer

Diego Sosa - QBE - Events

Raul Sanchez - Fisher &Paykel Healthcare - Regional & Manufacturing Sector

Hector Miranda - Orica - Government Relations (& Mining)

Jorge Sanchez - Haynes Boone - Mining

Jael Duran - Director

In addition to our Executive Board, ANZMEX has the support of a commited and active group of members who make up our Consejo Consultativo.  This group meets on a quarterly basis to develop sector specific activities and to ensure that the Consejo Directivo have a broad perspective of members' requirements.
