Australia considers business in Mexico

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull spoke to Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto about the interest of Australian business in investing and developing ventures in Mexico, mainly in the urban infrastructure area.

During the 23rd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, both leaders held a bilateral meeting where they discussed various topics and Turnbull said Australia is willing to pay more attention to Latin America and, especially, Mexico.

He also congratulated Peña Nieto on his implementation of structural reforms in the country.

This comes in a timely manner as Australian Senate is currently holding an Inquiry into Australia's Relationship with Mexico. ANZMEX Business Council made various submissions and recomendations, and was recently requested by the Australian Senate to make comments and further clarify the recomendations made.
