Sheila Laxon in Mexico- ANZMEX RACING WEEK

The first female thoroughbred horse trainer to win the Australian cups double visited Mexico from the 3rd to the 12th of November and joined the celebrations of the ANZMEX Racing week as our guest of honor.

During Sheila´s visit to Mexico she was involved in the following activities and visits:

 

Guest of Honor at the VIP Launch Dinner

Sheila shared with the VIP attendees her experience and anecdotes while watching Melbourne Cup live.

 

Visit to Valle Escondido- Sayavedra 

Visit to one of the most beautiful race horse breeding ranches in Mexico City.

 

Lunch & talk with Trainers at Club House, Hipodromo de las Américas

Sheila engaged in interesting discussions and conversations about the differences in horse training in Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. Collaborative plans between the three countries were discussed.

 

Visit Rancho San Isidro

Visit to one of the most beautiful race horse breeding ranches in Mexico City.

 

Attended the ANZMEX Fashion Coffee

Sheila and her horse trainer friend, Anne Goble enjoyed interesting conversations with the women attending the Racing Lunch and bought some beautiful Mexican designer accessories.

 

Breakfast talk by Sheila to JW Marriott female executives

A talk was given by Sheila to 25 women executives about her achievements as a woman horse trainer in Australia.

 

Visit Rancho Santa Rosa- Valle de Bravo

Sheila, Anne Goble and Adrienne Bonwick visited Rancho Santa Rosa, the most well-known ranch in Valle de Bravo.

 

Guest of Honor at the ANZMEX Racing Lunch

Sheila experienced the Mexican horse racing environment and a special race was dedicated to her.
