ALABC Seminar — Mexico: Where Opportunity Meets Prosperity

Event Recap & Details

A conference-room seminar held in Sydney on June 5, 2026, marking the 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Australia and Mexico. Hosted by ALABC and proudly supported by the Embassy of Mexico in Australia, ANZMEX, Macquarie Group, and NOJA Power. The session was also streamed online so attendees outside Sydney, including ANZMEX’s Mexico and New Zealand-based community, could listen in live. The seminar brought together business leaders, diplomats, government representatives, and industry stakeholders to explore Mexico’s growing economic significance and the expanding opportunities for collaboration between Australia and Mexico.

Discussions centered on Mexico’s strong economic outlook and its role as a key global manufacturing and investment destination, with opportunities highlighted across energy, critical minerals, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, technology, and trade. Speakers underscored the importance of deepening commercial ties between Australia and Mexico — fitting, given Mexico’s standing as Australia’s largest trading partner in Latin America. As a supporting partner, ANZMEX was glad to see this conversation reaffirm Mexico’s position as an attractive destination for Australian businesses seeking growth, diversification, and long-term partnerships in the region.
