ANZMEX Energy Briefing
Tuesday, 22 September 2026 | Woodside Energy Offices, Mexico City
On 22 September, ANZMEX convened a closed-door business briefing on Mexico’s energy sector, hosted at the Woodside Energy Mexico offices. The session brought together H.E. Mr Crispin Conroy AM, Australian Ambassador to Mexico, with key ANZMEX members working across energy and resources. Held under the Chatham House Rule, the briefing gave participants space for a candid exchange on where the sector stands and what it means for business in the Australia, New Zealand and Mexico corridor.
ANZMEX President Justin Morgan-Cooper opened the session. Board Member Vanessa Zárate Castillo then set out the objectives and gave an overview of Mexico’s current energy policy and regulatory framework. Raymundo Piñones (Woodside) and Ramón Salcedo (Centauro Energy) followed with business perspectives on hydrocarbons and electricity, before an open discussion with the Ambassador and participants.
