The BHP COVID-19 response plan: Example of corporate social responsibility

Edna Osuna, Head of Office at BHP Mexico & Director of the Oil & Gas division at the Women’s Energy Network (WEN)
Edna Osuna will highlight the social value practices used and the criteria employed to determine the type of support provided in each region/project by BHP, a multinational company, and the main extractive company in the world.
Edna is the Office Manager at BHP Mexico. She coordinates high-level meetings and engagements with communities, local and federal governments. She collaborates with the upstream industry in several initiatives and assists in security intelligence services.
Edna Osuna previously worked as project manager of AMEXHI, the upstream association industry in Mexico that represents almost 50 O&G companies where she organized the National Oil Convention, coordinated transparency and social initiatives, media, communications and managed the engagement with regulators, government and academia.
She has promoted gender equality in the O&G industry, the latest where she is actively committed as Director of the Hydrocarbons Committee at Women´s Energy Network, Chapter Mexico, WEN Mexico.
She holds a Bachelor´s Degree in Political Science from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, ITAM.
The Chatham House Rule will be enforced and the webinar will be conducted in English.
